Diane M. Harris Named Interim Chairman of Joliet Township Republican Organization
Joliet, IL — July 22, 2026
The Joliet Township Republican Organization today announced that Diane M. Harris has been appointed as Interim Chairman, effective immediately and serving until the special election on August 18, 2026.
Harris, the Republican Nominee for Illinois Secretary of State and a longtime community leader, will guide the organization during this transition period.
“We remain steadfast in our commitment to the core conservative values of faith, family, freedom, and fiscal responsibility,” said Harris. “I am honored to serve as Interim Chairman and look forward to working with our dedicated Precinct Committeemen to strengthen our organization.”
The announcement follows the departure of former Chairman Darrel Boisdorf. The Joliet Township Republican Organization extends its deepest gratitude to Boisdorf for his outstanding service and dedication. While he will be missed, the organization fully supports his decision to prioritize his growing family and wishes him and his loved ones every blessing in this new chapter.

All Precinct Committeemen are strongly encouraged to attend and participate in this important vote.
