10 Ways To Help Your Favorite Candidate By Using Zero Dollars

With no money, you can help right now

Make no mistake, financial donations are one of the surest ways you can help candidates spread their message, and any amount would be helpful.

But maybe you just are not in a position to financially contribute.  Or maybe you have already given.  With that consideration, what else can you do to help your favorite candidate get his or her message out?  Here are 10 things you can do that will cost you zero dollars.

1. Take a yard sign.  Yard signs are still one of the easiest and most effortless ways to get a candidate’s name out. Most candidates will put them out for you.  If you are looking for a particular sign, the JTRO can help (let us know here).

2. Take several signs.  Where are the corners, the strips of land, or the spots in your neighborhood where people will see yard signs?  You know where these prime locations are, candidates don’t.  Help your candidate by taking 5 or 10 yard signs and posting them.

3. Forward their emails.  When your favorite candidate sends you an email, can you forward that email to 5, 10, or 15 of your friends?  Who in your circle holds conservative values?  Don't worry about where they live; the people you know, know people who know people.  Just forward the emails on.

4. Author your own email.  Believe it or not, inner-circle endorsements are very powerful!  Tell your friends and family why you are persuaded to vote for someone.  Simple, fast, and free.

5. Re-post their Facebook posts.  Can you share with friends a candidate’s Facebook page or share some of their Facebook posts? Easy.

6. Send some links.  Where are the internet pages that post interviews, blogs, and recordings of your favorite candidate?  Can you send those to your friends and family?  Once again, zero dollars.

7. Have some pizza.  Can you host a party for 10 or 15 friends?  Most candidates love meeting people directly.  Schedules are filling up but most will come by and introduce themselves and answer questions.  They’ll often even bring along other candidates running for other offices.  Ask the questions you want answers to.

8. Walk in a parade.  For some areas parades are finished, but there are still a few to be part of!  Support your candidate by volunteering to walk in a parade.

9. Wear a shirt.  For candidates who are finished walking in parades, they most likely have t-shirts with their name and office on it that are no longer being used.  Reach out to the candidate and volunteer to wear their shirt out in public.

10. Fly the flag.  Admittedly, this won’t directly help your favorite candidate’s campaign.  However, it is good for America!  Fly the flag!
